Description: Quidnessett Country Club is a family owned private 18-hole club located on Narragansett Bay. The course was designed by Geoffrey Cornish in 1959.
Experience: Prior golf course experience in a management role.
Candidates with extensive spraying and irrigation experience a positive.
Education: Turfgrass management degree or certificate preferred, but not required.
Duties Description: The candidate will work closely with the Superintendent on all aspects of golf course maintenance. Staff management, efficiency and leadership. The position will consist of fertilizer and pesticide applications, calibration, and training. Other duties will include course set-up, water management, irrigation and drainage projects and troubleshooting assignments. Disease, insect and moisture scouting. Work with superintendent to achieve agronomic goals.
Special Requirements: The position requires the individual to be motivated, have excellent eye for detail and a strong work ethic. Must be honest and have a positive attitude. Applicant must be able to obtain a Rhode Island Pesticide License. Have a valid driver’s license.
Salary & Benefits: Salary is commensurate with experience. Health insurance, dental, 401k, life, paid vacation and lunch.
