Job Description: Busy 18-hole semi-private club celebrating its 100th year in business. Looking to hire a qualified equipment manager to prioritize repairs and maintenance of turf equipment and golf carts. Daily focus will be on ensuring an excellent quality of cut and in keeping all equipment operating efficiently.
Qualifications: Two or more years of experience as golf course mechanic preferred. Excellent attitude, great organizational skills and strong mechanical knowledge needed to manage a large fleet. Working knowledge of reel and rotary mowers and proficient in repair of both gasoline and diesel engines. The ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical and hydraulic issues is a must.
Functions:
- Perform routine maintenance and repair of all golf course equipment and golf carts
- Maintain a preventative maintenance program on all equipment and keep records of regular service intervals
- Responsible for monitoring and inspecting all mowing equipment for quality of cut, after cut appearance and effective height of cut
- Instruct crew members in reporting of mechanical issues, proper cleaning and safe operation of equipment
- Communicates and coordinates with the golf course superintendent to prioritize repairs and preventative maintenance
- Diagnoses and plans repairs as needed to improve performance
Salary and Benefits: Full time/year round, health and dental insurance, paid vacation, paid holidays, sick days. Salary is commensurate with experience.
