    Golf Course Superintendent

    Cape Cod National Golf Club | Brewster, Massachusetts

    Cape Cod National Golf Club is seeking a Golf Course Superintendent to lead all aspects of golf course maintenance and agronomy, with responsibility for the health, conditioning, presentation and playability of the golf course and practice facilities.

    The Superintendent will report directly to the President & General Manager and have clear responsibility for the golf course maintenance operation, working closely with the Director of Golf/Assistant General Manager and other Club leadership on the daily operation and long-term improvement of the golf course.

    • Approximately 250 full memberships and 17,000 annual rounds

    Key Responsibilities

    • Develop and execute agronomic programs that produce healthy turf and consistently high-quality playing conditions.
    • Lead, recruit and develop the golf course maintenance team, establishing clear standards, organization and accountability.
    • Maintain a hands-on presence on the golf course, identifying agronomic and operational issues early and responding effectively.
    • Develop and manage operating and capital budgets, equipment needs and long-range plans.
    • Play a central role in the Club's upcoming irrigation renovation/replacement and related golf course improvements. 
    • Understand golf at a high level and how maintenance decisions affect architecture, strategy, firmness, playability and presentation.
    • Communicate proactively and work collaboratively with Club leadership.

    Qualifications & Experience

    The successful candidate will possess most, if not all, of the following:

    • Degree or certificate in Turfgrass Management, Agronomy or a related field, or equivalent education and experience.
    • Progressive golf course management experience at a high-quality private club or comparable golf facility.
    • Strong agronomic and diagnostic skills, particularly with cool-season turfgrass and the Northeast/New England climate.
    • Demonstrated ability to recruit, lead, develop and retain a strong maintenance team.
    • Strong organizational, communication, budgeting and project-management skills.
    • A high-level understanding of golf, golf course architecture and the relationship between agronomy, playing conditions and the golf experience.
    • Massachusetts pesticide applicator license, or ability to obtain one promptly after employment.

    Compensation & Benefits

    Cape Cod National will provide a competitive compensation package commensurate with experience and qualifications. 

    Salary Range:  $150,000-$175,000.

    GOLF COURSE SUPERINTENDENT

    THE AQUIDNECK CLUB, 125 CORY’S LANE, PORTSMOUTH, RI  02871

    POSITION AVAILABLE - January 1, 2027

    COURSE INFORMATION – The Aquidneck Club opened in 2000 and was originally designed by Donald Steele.  It is an 18-hole, private, member-owned facility that also includes tennis courts, boat slips and residential units.  The golf course does approximately 17,000 rounds per year.  Playing surfaces are a Poa annua / creeping bentgrass mix.  The club has completed significant renovations over the years.  Most recently, in May 2026, the club completed the installation of a Rain Bird two-wire irrigation system with Cirrus Pro central control.  All bunkers have also been reconstructed using Better Billy Bunker technology.  Future projects include the reconstruction of tees on all 18 holes and the renovation of the fairway on hole #1.  All mowing and spraying equipment are on a five-year TORO lease scheduled to end in mid-2028.  All other equipment is owned by the club.

    POSITION INFORMATION – The Aquidneck Club is looking for a Golf Course Superintendent who will report to the Director of Agronomy for 2 years.  After 2 years this individual will take over as Director of Agronomy.   Current Director of Agronomy at the Aquidneck Club has been there since day one, more than 26 years, and will retire at the end of 2028.  The individual chosen to be his successor must have a positive attitude, be a team-oriented leader and a strong communicator. The individual selected for this position will work closely with the current Director of Agronomy for two years in all aspects of golf course maintenance.

    POSITION QUALIFICATIONS –

    • 1-5 years as a Golf Course Superintendent.
    • 2 or 4-year degree in Turfgrass Management or related field
    • A valid driver's license
    • Ability to operate various golf course maintenance equipment, irrigation control software and grounds management software
    • A Rhode Island pesticide applicator’s license, or the ability to obtain one within the first 90 days of employment
    • Experience in applying and supervising application of pesticides and fertilizers
    • Supervisory experience with staff members, vendors and contractors

    Town of North Kingstown, RI (population under 30,000) seeks experienced individual for position of Equipment Laborer. Operates various types of golf course equipment, including but not limited to walk behind mowers, triplex mowers, large area reel and rotary style mowers, various heavy equipment and hand-held tools and equipment such as weedwhackers and blowers, as directed by his/her supervisor.

    Ensures that the equipment, trucks, and machinery are efficiently working in a safe manor while in use; cleans; and reports problems. Provides basic preventive maintenance on equipment as directed by the equipment manager or assistant superintendent.

    Basic knowledge of building repairs and cleaning of the maintenance garage and the clubhouse. Ability to work outdoors and to withstand exposure to adverse climatic conditions. Individuals will be able to assist in winter maintenance of golf carts as well as snow removal and salting clubhouse and maintenance facility as needed.  Painting and repairing golf course accessories such as tee markers, ball washers, rakes. Individuals may perform related duties as required.

    Individuals must have knowledge of the game of golf and be able to work amongst the golfing public with a safe and courteous attitude.

    Candidates should have:

    • High School diploma or GED.  
    • Knowledge of golf course operations as well as building cleaning practices, supplies and equipment used in custodial work and minor building and grounds maintenance and repair.  
    • Physical ability to perform variety of routine manual tasks, including seasonal tasks: washing windows; removing screens and storm windows; use of ladder; snow shoveling; operating light machinery; and in open Golf season handling variety of materials and small machinery for upkeep of Golf Course.  
    • Ability to work weekends during peak season and/or extra shifts and to assist others as needed.

    Trump National Golf Club Westchester is seeking a motivated and team-oriented Assistant Superintendent to join our Golf Course Maintenance team. This position plays a key leadership role in daily crew management, golf course conditioning, irrigation scheduling, chemical applications, and project oversight. 

    The ideal candidate will be a positive leader who thrives in a structured, high-expectation environment and is eager to contribute to a well-established operation without disrupting proven procedures. 

    Club Highlights: 

    • Total Annual Rounds: 15,000 (12 outings annually) 
    • Total Staff: 10 full-time (22 total in season) 
    • Typical Work Schedule: 
      • In Season (April–November): 6:00am–2:30pm Monday–Friday; Assistants work every other weekend (6:00–10:00am; 1:00–4:00pm when hand

    Noyac Golf Club is an 18-hole Private Par 72 golf course designed by William Mitchell, located on the East end of Long Island in Southampton, New York. We have recently finished a four-year project renovation converting all greens to USGA specifications, all green side bunkers to Better Billy Bunker and Tee complexes were redone with proper drainage and mix. The course is equipped with the Rain Bird Cirrus Pro irrigation system. Noyac is recognized as one of the top courses in New York State on Golf Digest.

    Located in the town of Southampton in the village of Sag Harbor, which offers bars, restaurants and shopping while being 30 miles from Montauk. The course sits minutes from the renowned Hampton beaches, where you can enjoy swimming, fishing, paddle boarding, kayaking, and of course, golf. 

    Upcoming projects include continuing the long-range plan for improvements throughout the course such as fairway renovations, bunker reconstruction and possible full golf hole renovation with greens construction.

    The 2nd Assistant Superintendent will be responsible for assisting the Superintendent and the First Assistant in completing the daily and long-term management goals of the course and communicating said goals to the staff.
